Especially when you've reached your 30s, everyone they meet, including them, have excess baggage from their past relationships so I can imagine how hard it would be. I've also known some people who have met their partners on the net. I'd say half ended with disastrous consequences but the other half are still going strong. If I become single again, I wouldn't hesitate in looking for someone over the net.

Actually my sister met her husband online too.

She used to connect on MSN using Dana Scully nickname (the female agent from x-files).

In 2002 she met a guy using Fox Mulder nickname (the male agent from x-files).

They married in 2005 and my brother-in-law is so cool!

My friend married this guy from New Zealand in 2001, and they are living in New Zealand since then.
